Another Power Showcase in the books

For the fifth straight year, we handled the video for the Power Showcase. The Power Showcase is the International High School Home Run Derby. The top 100 high school power hitters converged on Chase Field in Phoenix, AZ this year. Daniel Vogelbach from Ft. Myers, FL won it in a runaway this year. He hit a whopping 30 HRs including a new record 508' HR. Bryce Harper was a keynote speaker the night before at the dinner banquet, and then was gracious enough to take a 45 minute round of BP. He held the previous record with a 502' HR. For those who don't follow baseball, Bryce was the first overall pick in the MLB draft last June by the Washington Nationals. He signed for $9.9M bonus. Fernando & Samantha

I had the honor of filming Fern and Sam's wedding in October at Coral Gables Congregational Church and reception at Red Fish Grill. Both choices of venue were outstanding! The historic CGCC is a can't miss and beautiful to shoot, and this was a first time at the Red Fish Grill, and it did not disappoint. What a hidden gem!
Fernando and Samantha were both great to work with. It helped that I shot Fernando's cousin's wedding last October and got to know them a little bit back then. And Carrie, from Sara Kauss Photography, returned also, as we got the 'band back together' for photo and video. The ceremony went great, especially after Samantha got their names right during the vows...LOL! It was nerves! LOL!
The reception featured a beautiful back drop, emotional speeches, and lots of dancing! And as is tradition with the family a full dance floor of family and friends singing Hotel California:D This was followed by a grand exit through sparklers. Good people, good times! Enjoy their recap:

Nick & Erin - Conch Key Cottages - Marathon

Wow! These crew was a lot of fun! First and foremost, big ups to this couple for serving our country in the Air Force, we truly appreciate it. Nick and Erin celebrated their special day at the Conch Key Cottages in Marathon. A cozy little site tucked in right off the highway at MM 62 in the Keys. What an awesome day from start to finish! Just to give you an idea of how crazy their crew was, they had a solid 8 minutes of 'outtakes/bloopers' at the end of their video...LOL! Jennifer did her usual stellar job planning the event and overseeing the entire day. Here's a look back at their fun-filled day, enjoy!

Rebecca & Cerge - PGA National Resort

Rebecca and Cerge were married at the PGA National Resort in West Palm Beach. I was actually with them 2 days before the wedding for their rehearsal walk-thru. On the wedding day, Kenya and I were with them from the getting ready to the end of the reception. Hanging with the guys was great. Most of them played football at FAU, so it was great hearing stories about "Schnelly"..LOL! Cerge's best man was Santonio Holmes, yes that one, Super Bowl MVP two years ago. We did have to throw a delay of game penalty on him for showing up 30 minutes before the ceremony though:D Kenya enjoyed every minute with the girls getting ready. The ceremony was dimly, but beautifully lit, and went off without a hitch. The reception was full of fun, speeches, and dancing! Good people, Good times!!! Ana & Virgilio

I had the pleasure of shooting Ana & Virgilio's Wedding in Miami Beach. Ana got ready at the JW Marriott, and then met Virgilio over at beautiful St. Patrick's for their nuptials. After a seamless ceremony we headed back to the JW Marriott for the reception at Isabella's on the second floor. This couple was just as cool and calm as they come. Everything was so easy going, a real 'breath of fresh air' kind of wedding. Here's a vignette of the bridal prep time. Enjoy!
